Check status.datafuel.ai first: it shows each component (residential and mobile gateways, ISP and datacenter, scraping API, dashboard and User API) with live uptime and any open incident. Subscribe there to get incidents by email.

What the page tells you

  • Operational: the component is fine; a problem you see is specific to your request, your target or your account. Use the error-code articles.
  • Degraded performance: slower responses or a lower success rate; retries with backoff usually get through.
  • Partial or major outage: an incident is open with updates as the team works; nothing to do on your side, and failed requests are not charged.
  • Maintenance: announced in advance with a window; static IPs stay up, gateways may reconnect.

Before you report an outage

  1. Run the proxy quick test or a /task call against https://ipinfo.io/json; a success means the service is up and the target is the issue.
  2. Check the error code or the empty-reply article.
  3. Check your balance and plan dates: a 402 or an expired plan looks like an outage from the inside.

Reporting

If the status page is green and you still see failures across targets, write to support@datafuel.ai, use Open A Ticket in the dashboard, or the chat bubble at the bottom right, with: the time with timezone, the gateway or IP used, the error you see, and two example requests. Engineers answer; critical issues get a response target of one hour on plans with an SLA.
